Minimalistic and practical apartments on the roof of a residential building

The tiny rooftop apartment of just under 38 square meters in Hong Kong doesn’t feel cramped at all. Luxurious terrace, proper and economical use of space together give a cozy and original apartment.

Design studio Liquid Interiors, who carried out this project, made the most of the interior space of the room, creating in fact one large room with a combined bedroom and living room.

The limited floor space of the apartments is also overcome by built-in wardrobes with sliding doors. It is impossible not to pay attention to the original and smart solution to build holes in the floor, where wooden loungers are folded when they are not needed.

On the terrace you can exercise and meditate outdoors. It also features a wooden platform canopy bed, a minimalist stone table and a projector screen for outdoor movies when the weather permits.

Next to this composition is a deck chair where you can laze while in the sun.

A wall with colorful green plants adds brightness to the overall look and helps to add even more warmth. Two iron safes used as bedside tables are in perfect harmony with the steel door that leads to the apartment.

The architects wanted to create a specially equipped space, because the customer is a pilot, whose work schedule often forces him to sleep during the day. If needed to block out daylight, the soundproof double glazed windows can be covered with blackout curtains that block out a single ray of sunlight.

In addition, the apartment is equipped with a smart lighting system to maintain the circadian rhythm and minimize disruption of the biological cycle of sleep and wakefulness

In the kitchen, the refrigerator, all utensils and utensils are hidden behind stainless steel doors, and the table in the center is endowed with several functions and can act as a stove, dining table and workspace. This apartment will definitely appeal to lovers of practicality and minimalism.
