Guest house design: reconstruction of an old barn
The design of a guest house usually does not pretend to be excessive luxury. That is why the architects of the American company Silver Maple Construction, who were asked to reconstruct an old barn into a residential building, focused on the maximum open area and natural wood trim. This decision was also approved by the owners of the vast farm – a married couple and their children, who live in their own spacious cottage.
Luxurious fields, gardens and forests surrounding the former utility block inspired designers to create the most open and bright space, not cluttered with unnecessary partitions and heavy furniture.
