Unusual design of a children’s playground at the top of the hill

Unusual playground design

The architects did a great job and presented the original design of a small children’s playground with an area of only 32m2, located in a clearing, on top of a hill on the site of an old farm.

The construction, due to its location on a hill near the trees, received the strange name “Tree House”, although it has nothing to do with such houses.

The site includes two levels: the ground floor and a small balcony “crow’s nest” under the open sky. Most interior elements are made of polycarbonate.

There is only one way to get into the house: climb the volleyball net and push the hatch up. The stairs lead through the second hatch to the “crow’s nest” on the balcony, where there is a mahogany desk.

From there you have a beautiful view of the meadow and apple orchards. A bespoke spiral slide in the space between the balcony and the first floor is a unique sculptural element under which you can hide from the bright sun, sit quietly and relax after a hard day’s work.

You can get into the house using the grid

On one side of the structure, from the balcony, you can see what is happening on the ground floor. On the other hand, the amazing valley of the Hudson River opens up.
