Unusual houses in Japan: a mansion from the series “Girls”

Unusual houses in Japan often become objects of attention of television and film producers. Take a look at the photo above. If you’ve watched the American TV series Girls, you’ve probably recognized this surreal mansion.

In one of the episodes of the telenovela, the heroine named Shoshanna moves to the Land of the Rising Sun in connection with a new job. This led to the formation of new storylines and the demonstration of numerous design innovations.

In the very first frames of the series, the unusual house itself appears, followed by the alarm clock, which excited fans of stylish gizmos around the world. Already these pictures were enough to understand why Shoshanna loves Japan so much. But we saw something else.

First, let’s go back to the alarm clock. This charming talking device appears on the screen immediately after the splash screen. The great thing is that it was not designed specifically for the series and you can buy it.

Watches are produced in four designs, different colors and with different “characters”. Shoshanna has a “polite” model in her bedroom. The alarm clock is sold on Amazon for about $45. The bad news is that he only speaks Japanese.

Shoshanna’s crazy apartment is located in a house called Reversible Destiny Lofts, which can be reached from Tokyo by train in about an hour. You can rent it through the AirBnB resource.

The house has another apartment of a slightly smaller size, which is also rented out. These colorful apartments are made up of capsules rather than rooms, and some elements are out of place, which makes the inhabitants take a different look at the daily routine.

Sweaters similar to the one Shoshanna is wearing in the next photo can be purchased from Urban Outfitters.

It’s hard to imagine Hello Kitty-style headphones looking better on anyone than on the heroine of “Girls”, but you can try to compete with her. A similar model is sold on Amazon for $40.

What can you say about this original Japanese house?
